We are referring to a warehouse measuring some 2,000 square metres which additionally runs on renewable energies, to pursue the company commitment to the environment. It was opened yesterday in the presence of the regional president, Pedro Sanz, minister for industry, Javier Erro, managing director of Agriculture and Livestock, Igor Fonseca, and the mayor of Ocón, Ernesto Viguera, who joined Luis Gil, owner of the warehouse, and his entrepreneurial daughters Delia and Rosa.

This place is close to where they raise the pigs used in their products, animals which have complete freedom at the El Encinar de Ocón estate. The estate comprises 17 hectares of land covered in leafy Holm-oak and oak woodland in the outstanding location that is Sierra La Hez - listed as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

This company is a clear example of how things can be done well if tradition is maintained but not to the exclusion of competitiveness and progress and where respect for the environment is at the forefront, remarked Pedro Sanz following the inauguration. It is a way of recovering age-old flavours that were almost lost to us, he noted.
