Since 1920
For the last four generations our family has been raising livestock, selling meat and producing cold cuts. Great-grandma María had her own butcher's where she prepared the only meat that was consumed at home in those times: pork and lamb. Later, grandpa Luis Gil - who learnt as a child to shepherd goats and sheep - continued the family tradition, producing cold cuts in the traditional way, which were then sold by grandma Rosi in the village butcher's for local consumption.
The third generation, led by our father, began the process of making the family tradition professional, starting the cold cuts factory which was named Luis Gil in honour of the business and fighting spirit of grandpa Luis.
Now, with the fourth generation of the family fully involved in the family business, we have started an ambitious project which will allow us to produce ecological cold cuts and fresh meat from our own animals raised ecologically in complete freedom, in harmony with nature and mankind.
