We want to talk to you about three solidarity initiatives related to food that deserve all our applause and admiration and that have managed to move us.

The crisis of Coronavirus has changed our lifestyle but has also revolutionized our way of relating to others. It has forced us to stop, to reflect on the important, the essential….

In this complicated situation instead of focusing on the negative we have stopped to see everything positive that this is taking out of our society and that is why we want to talk about three solidarity initiatives related to food that deserve all our applause and admiration and that have managed to get excited.

1. #Yotehagolacompra

Under this hashtag and in different autonomous communities, neighbors are offered to go shopping for vulnerable people and at risk, such as older people who do not want or cannot be exposed to the risk of leaving home these days. Not only in social networks, portals and elevators have been filled with solidarity posters in which neighbors offer their help to those who need it to go out to buy for them.

2. #Yotecocino

Kitchen kitchens and lovers, even some people with not so much culinary skill, are offered to cook tuppers for toilets and that they can dedicate their rest hours to replenish strength and to be with their own. An initiative that promoted a journalist who is fond of kitchen from Madrid, but that has been extended throughout Spain and even has a websitewww.yotecocino.comwhich puts in contact with solidarity kitchens and food receptors.

3. Solidarity menus

There are many bars, restaurants, food houses, pre -cooked stores, etc. that these days are offering for free and selfless solidarity menus for all those who need it and are in a particularly vulnerable situation.

In addition the Spanish chef based in the United States, José Andrés, through its foundationWorld Central KitchenTogether with the Firefighters and the Food Bank they are distributing an average of 300 solidarity menus a day in Madrid

This is only three examples of the numerous solidarity initiatives promoted by citizens, SMEs and different organizations that arise in the most varied sectors and areas. And from this situation we stayed with this, with this network of solidarity and selfless collaboration because one thing is clear, the only way to win the battle is this. #Juntos #undeamenos
